Château Pape Clément is launching “The Chefs's Garden”, an ephemeral terrace to help chefs!

From May 21 and for the whole summer, an ephemeral terrace with on-site catering will open its doors  in Château Pape Clément, a classified grand cru belonging to Bernard Magrez and located in Pessac.

The outdoor kitchen of the “Chefs's Garden” will take place in an authentic vintage American Airstream. The Airstream will be available for free to local chefs who do not have a terrace. The chefs will cook in the airstream as if it was their own restaurant, in order to prepare and offer their personal and typical recipes.

During the summer : lunches, afterworks, brunches, wine tasting, visits of sumptuous gardens to discover hundreds of rare plants and two thousand-year-old olive trees.

Deckchairs and a pétanque ground will give a summer vibe to the terrace with a view of the 13th century Château, where visits, tastings and wine workshops are back, until the resumption of weddings, concerts and business seminars…

The first chef that confirmed his arrival is the young Bordeaux Maître Restaurateur, Clément Belin. His restaurant, Big Bean  located rue Fondaudège does not have a terrace and therefore cannot reopen before June. Its British-flavored specialties are particularly famous for its brunch. 

Local chefs interested in this initiative are encouraged to apply by phone directly at 06.79.24.35.08.

This solidarity initiative in favor of local chefs, is matching with Bernard Magrez’s state of mind : helping contemporary artists, support in the fight against cancer, helping start-ups thanks to its brand new incubator, financing an orphanage, loaning of a stradivarius and instruments classified famous world treasures to classical musicians, etc…
